House Van Saar mourns the loss of a prominent member

House Van Saar, the techno-savants of Necromunda, have confirmed the death of one of their prominent members, who was killed by the recent milliasaur plague that infested the Underhive.

The deceased was identified as Viktor Van Saar, a master artisan and engineer who oversaw the production and maintenance of many essential infrastructural sites in the Underhive. He was also involved in the running of the thermal shaft, the ancient power collector that provides energy across the entirety of Necromunda1.

According to House Van Saar sources, Viktor Van Saar was inspecting a sump-hole near the Dust Wall when he was attacked and bitten by a milliasaur, a hideously mutated and enlarged centipede that can reach up to two metres in length2. The milliasaur’s quick-acting poison reduced him to a helpless state, and he was dragged down into its lair and devoured.

His body was recovered by a team of enforcers and exterminators who were sent to deal with the milliasaur menace. They also managed to eradicate all traces of the milliasaurs from the Underhive, after several days of intense and dangerous work.

House Van Saar has expressed its grief and sorrow over the loss of Viktor Van Saar, who was described as a brilliant and loyal member of the House. He was praised for his contributions to the technology and prosperity of Necromunda, and for his dedication and service to the Underhive.

The Drake Chronicle extends its condolences to House Van Saar and to the family and friends of Viktor Van Saar. We also commend the Drake Cluster authorities for their swift and effective action against the milliasaur plague. We hope that this incident will serve as a reminder of the dangers and horrors that lurk in the Underhive, and that we must always be prepared and alert for any possible threats.

  • Rico Storm was a former scavenger who lived in the Badlands, a barren and hostile area outside the hive city. He found an old typewriter in the wreckage and started writing stories and poems. He moved to the Underhive where he joined the Dust Wall Journal, a humorous and satirical newspaper that mocks the Underhive’s culture and politics. He was a witty and clever columnist who wrote with sarcasm and humor. He enjoyed his job and had a loyal fan base, but he also had a secret ambition: to write serious and investigative journalism. He wanted to expose the corruption and injustice in the Underhive, and to make a difference with his words. He applied for a job at The Drake Chronicle, a new and independent newspaper that aimed to be the voice of the Underhive. He impressed the editor with his writing skills and his passion and was hired as a senior reporter. He left the Dust Wall Journal with mixed feelings, but he was excited for his new challenge. He hoped to make The Drake Chronicle the best newspaper in the Underhive, and to earn the respect and trust of his readers.
