RatSkull Drinking Hole Rocked by Gang War and Collapse

24/07/44,265 ·

A violent clash between the Vicious Vixens, an Escher gang notorious for their raids and robberies, and a Palanite Enforcer unit led by Captain Rizzoli, erupted yesterday in the hab sector below the Rat Skull Pub. The confrontation was triggered by an explosive device planted by the Enforcers, which caused a massive structural collapse that engulfed several buildings, including the popular drinking hole.

Witnesses reported seeing the Enforcers storming into the area, announcing their presence over the vox network and demanding the patrons of the pub to surrender. Mad Mave, the leader of the Vixens, who was apparently enjoying a drink with her gang, attempted to flee through a window, but was met by a hail of gunfire from the lawmen.

Meanwhile, two other Vixens who were patrolling the streets below were caught off guard by the blast that took down a support pillar behind them. As they scrambled to escape the falling debris, they spotted more Enforcers emerging from the dust cloud. Rebaya, one of the Vixens, ordered her gang to grab their loot and run for their lives.

The ensuing chase was chaotic and deadly, as both gangs exchanged fire and grenades while dodging chunks of rockrete and metal that rained down from above. Several Enforcers were buried under the rubble as they tried to take high ground positions, while some Vixens were wounded or killed by the Enforcers’ superior firepower.

Rebaya managed to reach the exit building that led to the roof and freedom, but was confronted by an Enforcer named Booth, who wielded a concussion carbine. Rebaya shot him down with her plasma rifle and signaled her gang to follow her. However, as they were about to reach the rooftop, they were ambushed by Captain Rizzoli himself, who had leapt from an adjacent building with a loot crate in one hand and a stubgun in the other.

Rizzoli shot one of the Vixens in the chest and shouted that they would not escape Helmawr’s justice. The Vixens panicked and fled in different directions, leaving behind their loot and their fallen comrade. Rizzoli pursued them with her stubgun blazing, but was unable to catch them all.

The survivors of managed to escape from the collapsing zone, but not without paying a heavy price. The RatSkull and several other buildings were reduced to rubble, along with many innocent lives. The authorities have not yet issued any official statement on the incident, nor have they confirmed or denied any involvement of the Palanite Enforcers.

This is not the first time that gang wars and structural collapses have plagued the underhive, nor will it be the last. The Drake Chronicle will continue to report on these events as they unfold, bringing you the truth from the depths of Necromunda. Stay tuned for more updates.
