Vicious Vixens failed ambush of the 451 Ore Chasers at The Spire Gate

The Vicious Vixens, a notorious all-female gang of raiders and smugglers, suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of the 451 Ore Chasers, a rival gang of scavengers and toll collectors, at The Spire Gate yesterday. The Vixens were attempting to pass The Spire Gate, a dilapidated structure, when they were confronted by the Ore Chasers, who demanded a hefty fee for passage. The Vixens refused to pay and a fierce skirmish ensued.

According to eyewitnesses, the Vixens split their forces into two groups: one to assault the left flank of the Ore Chasers’ position, and another to provide covering fire from the right. The left flank group managed to cross by using a makeshift bridge of trash, but were met by a counterattack from Chainsaw Sue, a veteran ganger of the Ore Chasers who wielded a deadly chainsaw. Chainsaw Sue cut down Feral Fran, the leader of the Vixens’ flank group, and her phelynx pets, before being killed by The Blackscream, a fearsome juve of the Vixens who carried a shock whip.

Meanwhile, the right flank group faced heavy fire from the Ore Chasers’ heavy weapons specialist, known only as The Hulk, who operated a mounted heavy stubber. The Hulk pinned down the Vixens’ shooters, who could not retaliate due to smoke grenades thrown by the Ore Chasers. Mave, the queen of the Vixens and a notorious chainaxe wielder, realized her mistake and rushed to join the fray in the center. However, she was too late to stop the Ore Chasers engaging in close combat.

Mave charged into the melee, but was blinded by the smoke and missed her target. She was then attacked by Frayvix, a young ganger of the Ore Chasers who carried a chainsword. Frayvix slashed Mave’s legs and torso, causing her to fall to the ground in agony. The sight of their queen’s defeat broke the morale of the Vixens, who fled in panic. Only The Blackscream remained on the field, facing Brashen Bull Fist, the road captain of the Ore Chasers and a skilled bolter user. The Blackscream swore vengeance and retreated, dragging her wounded sisters with her.

The Ore Chasers celebrated their victory and looted the Vixens’ vehicles and equipment. They also claimed The Spire Gate as their new territory and raised their gang’s banner on top of it. The Spire Gate is a former toll gate that connects the underhive city of Drake Sector to the Ash Wastes, a desolate area where only outcasts and nomads dwell. The gate is named after its distinctive feature: a tall spire that rises above it and serves as a landmark for travelers.

The Vixens are now in a dire situation. Mave is severely injured and will need prosthetics and surgery to recover. However, finding such resources and a rogue doc who can perform the operation could be difficult. The Vixens will have to find another way to enter or exit the underhive city or risk being unable to move their ill-gotton gains.

This is the first time that the Vixens and the Ore Chasers have clashed over territory and resources. Both gangs are among the most notorious and violent in Drake Sector. The conflict between these two gangs is likely to escalate in the future, as both seek revenge and dominance over each other. The underhive dwellers of Drake Sector can only hope that they will not be caught in the crossfire.
