The Palantine Enforcers unit We Are…The Law, known for their indiscriminate and brutal tactics in the Drake Sector, has a new leader after the suspected death of their former captain, Rizzoli. Subjugator Captain Danville, a veteran officer from another sector, has been appointed by the Chief Constable Mira Kowalski to take charge of the unit and to reform its practices.
Danville, who arrived in the sector yesterday, has brought with him his trusted Patrolman Angell to fill out the unit after its recent losses. He has announced that he will put the remaining members of We Are…The Law through a rigorous training regime over the coming days to assess their skills and loyalty. He has also vowed to uphold the law and to protect the citizens of the Drake Sector from the rampant gang activity.
“I am here to restore order and discipline to this unit,” Danville said in a press conference today. “We Are…The Law will no longer be a source of fear and corruption in this sector. We will be a force for justice and peace.”
Kowalski, who has been trying to clean up the Palantine Enforcers force since she took over as the Chief Constable two weeks ago, expressed her confidence in Danville and his ability to turn We Are…The Law around. She also confirmed that Rizzoli’s body was not recovered after the raid on the 451 Ore Chasers’ last week, and that she is presumed dead.
“Rizzoli was a rogue officer who abused her power and betrayed her oath,” Kowalski said. “She is no longer part of this force. Danville is the new leader of We Are…The Law, and I trust him to do his job with integrity and professionalism.”
However, not everyone is convinced that Danville’s arrival will bring positive changes to the sector. Many citizens are skeptical about his intentions and his methods, especially after witnessing his harsh treatment of some gangers he encountered on his way to the Enforcers headquarters. Some fear that he will be even more violent and oppressive than Rizzoli.
“He may talk a good game, but he’s still an enforcer,” said one resident of The Hive neighbourhood, who asked to remain anonymous. “He’s not here to help us. He’s here to make our lives worse.”
