Palantine Enforcers Chief Constable, Mira Kowalski, has disbanded the notorious enforcer unit known as We Are….The Law.
The unit, founded by Captain Rizzoli and more recently commanded by Captain Danville after Rizzoli’s death, have been regularly at the centre of controversy within the Drake Sector, with many citizens claiming their choice of tactics are innapropriate and indiscriminatly target innocent citizens. Many point back to an incident at old watering hole, The Rat Skull, where, when attempting to apprehend local gang leader Mad Maive, Rizzoli’s enforcer caused the complete callapse of entire city block with their use of RPG’s and other explosives.
Details on the exact reasons for the units dismisal are not yet know, neither are details on weather its members will be dismissed from service, or reintergrated into the wider Palantine Enforcers.
What is know is the unhappiness of senior individuals over the units recent involvement in gang warfare relating to the assasination of Orlock gang leader Brasher Bull Fist, where the enforer unit appeared to be working alongside known organised crime leaders to make the kill.
Mira Kowalski has stated her intension for the future of law enforcement within the sector. Mira states that the only sustainable strategy is one of quid pro quo between the enforcers and leading Houses. A strategy many see as giving up, but one which many other sectors show can lead to less indiscrimate violence directed to the hives citizens.
Mira has indicated a new specialist unit will be setup soon. The new unit will work at arms length of the core Palantine Enforcers, given independance and work towards protecting the wider interests of the enforcers.
