The Drake Sector witnessed another violent clash between two rival gangs last night, as four members of the Escher gang The Lost Daughters ambushed and downed two Delaque gangers from The Adjustment Administratum.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight, when Deckard and Zhora, two Delaque specialists who had earlier participated in a successful skirmish against the Escher gang, were spotted exiting a local taverna by four vengeful Escher girls. The four Escher gangers, Matriarchs Davina and Michelle, and Juves Sam and Edna, decided to seek revenge for their earlier defeat and confronted the Delaque duo on the main street.
According to eyewitnesses, the street was suddenly empty except for the six gangers, as all civilians had fled the scene, anticipating a bloody shootout. The two gangs of fighters slowly approached each other, a few steps at a time, each waiting for somebody to make the first move for their weapon.
Then it happened, with the Escher girls seemingly having the quicker draw, Michelle pulled her plasma gun from its holster and landed a clear shot on Zhora, while Edna set Deckard alight with her hand flamer. Putting both the Delaque gangers on the back foot allowed Davina and Sam to charge into them with their stiletto sword and knives. The blades shimmered by the street lights, coated in some special poisons they had concocted. The Delaque both hit and fell to the ground almost instantly, foaming at the mouth. Their poison blades doing the hard work.
The Escher gangers then quickly looted the curled, writhing bodies of their fallen enemies and fled the scene, leaving behind a gruesome spectacle for the authorities to deal with. The Drake Sector Arbites have issued a statement condemning the violence and vowing to bring the perpetrators to justice, but many underhive residents doubt anything will ever be done.
The Lost Daughters are a notorious Escher gang that operates in the Drake Sector, led by Queen Maxine Lawrence. They are known for their fierce loyalty, their toxic weaponry, and their hatred of the Delaque gang. The Adjustment Administratum are a Delaque gang that specialize in espionage, sabotage, and assassination. They are led by one known only as Man in the HIgh Spire, a mysterious figure who has connections to the upper hive.
This is the latest in a series of clashes between the two gangs, who have been locked in a bitter feud for months over territory, resources, and prestige. The underhive is a dangerous place, where life is cheap and violence is common.
