The Jackals vs 13th Legion

Welcome one and all to greatest show on Terra. It’s new VS old in this battle to the claim the title of the G.O.A.T.

The Jackals face off against the 13th Legion. Let’s introduce the teams. The Jackals have selected Vinnie, Albert, Minters, JohnSmyth & Solomon. Lt Munro, Shredder, Dredd, Cruz and Ward for the Legion.

Hit The Road Jack and Ableton, the road captain and sergeant, choosing to sit this out for the Jackals to see what the competition has to offer.

Get ready folks the teams are dropping in. It’s going to be a quick match with all 10 fighters lining up in the 12 by 12 room to start matters off. LT Munro drops in first and appears to be running to an electrical panel whilst the rest of the crews take it turns to face off guns raised.

Lt Munro meanwhile appears to be poking the panel with the finger of his powerfist. How he’s smuggled that is anybodys guess.

Zzzzzeeeeeooooooom. Wait the lights have gone out………….we can’t see the action and visibility is scarce. Great initiative by the fierce Lt. Crashes, bumps and the occasional slur was all that could be heard. Neither team willing to open up the firepower for being seen.

In the confusion LT Munro has ditched his crew and sprinted down the of the left flank leaving the rest of the gangers in disarray. Bloody hell he’s quick he’s already 150 metres down the tunnel.

I only counted 4 of the 13th Legion in that initial drop, before the wily LT cut the power. Maybe theyve lost someone already.

Wait I can see the contestants. The Jackals have darted out of the pitch black entrance and holed up in the final corridor to the vault on the right. Whilst the 13th Legion have jumped the pipe work behind some storage containers on the left. The line of sight favouring the legion, if the Jackals dare to make the run down the open corridor.

Let’s take a look at the final exit point our teams are trying to reach. Hang on what’s that to the left of the ferrocrete….I see the reflection of a gun barrel glinting. BAH GAWD that’s Shredder and he’s packing some serious fire power. The Jackals are pinned in…..

Shredder strides front the shadow and swings his Long Las to bear and gouges a chunk out of Albert’s shoulder. Meanwhile in the centre partition, Vinnie has unleashed his plasma Gun on Dredd. It’s a hit, oh Dredd is done for….. Wait he’s still standing, his hair smoking and his skin singed but he’s ok.

Vinnie stares at his gun in shock that his target survived. Cruz takes advantage of the momentary lapse in concentration and pops Vinnie in the neck with his trusty las gun.

On the left flank the silky smooth JohnSymth has showered Ward with his shotgun. The former Kriegsmans forearm shaved clean off. Before JohnSymthe can finish off the wounded man barrel still smoking. Cruz dives to his right and puts two through the chest of the Jackals assault expert. That’s two for Cruz and his mighty Las.

Ward picks himself up and nods to Cruz. He’s going to owe him some Wildsnake after that save, if he doesn’t bleed to death first.

On the right flank Minters has darted from cover dual pistols barking bullets in the direction of Shredder. Shredder stumbles he’s hit and it looks bad.

Solomon follows Minters in support but strides straight into a bolt gun shell from Lt Munro hiding behind a console to his left. That’s 3 down for the Jackals.

Shredder has climbed to his feet and Minters takes no chances firing his dual pistols. Shredder shifts left and right to avoid the spray fire and somehow has dodged the shower of bullets.

Shredder fires a single shot in return and drops the excitable Juve facedown.

With his team in dissary Solomon makes a desperate charge for the vault. Ward despite his missing appendage, follows Solomon’s movements with the barrel of his Las and fires a Lasbolt into the back of the Charing enemy. With all 4 Jackals out and one bleeding at the entrance to the Vault Munro steps through to claim victory.

Game one goes to the Legion. The Jackals will feel hard done by. If the plasma had done it’s job and Ward not been a Kriegsman theyd have had two of Legionaries out early but instead it’s a 5-0 sucker punch.

Stick around for the gory slow-mos and analysis and we’ll see you after the break.
