With both gangs eager to get to the stash, it was Lars who made the early run for the loot. Johnny Bolt spotted this and got in closer to made a shot that couldn’t miss, Lars slumping to the ground seriously injured. During this outburst, on the other side of the loot zone, two frenzied looking The Chain Breakersthat had tagged along rushed forward. The first gunned down by a torrent of heavy bolted fire from Little Gufftred, bleeding but still conscious until the Orlock leader, Iron Hand Intas, charged in and finished him off in glorious melee. Among all the shots the second ducked for cover, tantalisingly close to the loot.
The rest of The Chain Breakers advanced, Cameo’s stub gun making Johnny Bolt duck before Vim Fal-Gunnar opened up with his shotgun forcing the Goliath’s to drop down for cover. Stimmer, the only one left standing on that flank, his muscles twitching for action.
The final Wrecker, Simi Bolt fired up her booster pack and launched across the arena landing next to Lemmy, the speed of the attack catching the Goliath off guard as Simi’s knives hacked at his face. Lemmy was out, the injuries to his face leaving him looking scarier than any sump beast I’ve seen.
The Chain Breakers Juve hiding by the loot stood up and opened the first casket managed to avoid beign shot and headed further into the loot room to open another casket, Heavy bolter fire finding its mark and leaving the juve as just a red smear on the floor. Before the echo of this attack had passed Ozzy charged into Johnny Bolt, brutally dispatching him in a flurry of attacks before using his bulk and momentum to carry on to face off Vim. Sensibly Vim backed away, injured by the giants blow as he retreated by not enough to stop him from another shot from his shotgun. Just as Cameo and Prince stood up the rain of shot had them ducking for cover again and at this close range even Ozzy ducked down.
With the loot room open to one side the Orlocks gained the initiative and advance ld inside to open the final two caskets.
An amazing event full of action that defies the final result of a draw.
