The Jackals vs The Chain Breakers

The next challenge facing The Jackals came in the shape of The Chain Breakers. The hulking Goliaths the only thing standing in the way of their route out of the hive’s tunnel systems.

As The Jackals readied themselves Axl fired a frag grenade at them, falling short the blast only managed to alert Ableton of his whereabouts and without hesitation a slew of heavy bolter rounds cut him down.

The Chain Breakers weren’t going to sit and wait for the Jackals to come to them and advanced, choosing attack as their form of defence.

The Orlock crew were ready for the challenge and responded with in turn, shots were exchanged across the tunnels, but those that hit weren’t causing any damage. Cameo, leader of The Chain Breakers decided enough was enough and ran forward firing his plasma pistol at Minters, only to miss and hit his own ganger instead!

Bruce realised that guns weren’t working today and thought it best to get stuck in, charging into minters wounding him. Cameo wasn’t going to be humiliated in front of everyone and to prove his marksmanship fired the plasma pistol at Albert, the hot plasma seriously injuring him. Smelling blood, Ozzy charged his hulking body at the writhing Albert and finished him off. Bon also realising that perhaps sticking to what they’re good at, hitting people with sharp objects, charged into The Jackals leader, Jack. The furious attack landing some heavy blows. Knowing their boss wouldn’t survive this attack for long, Pistols Pete and Johnsmyth shot into the combat hoping to hit Bon and save their boss. Proving to be over cautious about hitting their boss they managed to miss altogether leaving Jack to fight back, his servo claw surely enough to take the Goliath down. The shots fired so close distracted Jack and he couldn’t get the clean hit on Bon, unfortunately Bon was not so worried about the gunfire and knocked Jack down and out. This was too much for Johnsmyth and he nerves were shot. Vinny, seeing his boss taken out fired his plasma gun in anger, Bon had no chance and the plasma shot took him out. The quick retaliation settling Johnsyths nerves quickly.

Having moved around to a better firing line Ableton dispatched Bruce before he could attack Minters again, giving him a short breather before Cameo charged in and finished the job Bruce had failed to do.

All this was too late, Lemmy tried to get back to cover the exits and Cameo and Ozzy chased the Orlocks as best they could, but they weren’t quick enough to catch them before they escaped.

The Jackals win, escaping with some great tactical team work.
