Mad Mave’s Triumph in the Boneyard

17/07/44,265 ·

In a thrilling turn of events, the fearless gang leader Mad Mave and her Vicious Vixens fought off a group of fanatic Cawdor zealots in the Corpse Farm known as the Boneyard. The Vixens, who had recently acquired a Synth Still and started producing custom chems, were on their way to meet a Delaque contact at the Rat Skull Drinking Hole when they encountered the Sump Saints, a Cawdor gang that had been terrorizing and looting in the Drake Sector.

The Saints, led by the self-righteous priest Prestwold, foolishly tried to launch a surprise attack on the unsuspecting Vixens. Mad Mave, who had left most of her gang behind to guard their hideout, ordered her few followers to split up and fight back. The battle was fierce and glorious, with the Vixens showing their superior skill and courage.

“They came out of the fog, chanting and waving their banners. They thought they had us cornered. But they were wrong. We heard them coming and we were ready. We gave them a taste of our lasguns and our blades. We made them pay for every inch of ground. It was beautiful.” – Rabeya, Vixen lasgunner.

The Vixens took down many of the Saints, including their champion Granville, who fell to Mad Mave’s chainsword. Mad Mave herself was briefly shaken by some Cawdor witchery, but she quickly recovered and rejoined the fray. The Blackscream, the Vixens’ deathmaiden, disarmed and killed Prestwold in a brutal duel atop a building. The rest of the Saints were either slain or routed by the Vixens.

“They ran into our drinking hole, looking for refuge. They said they had been ambushed by some Escher gang. But I knew better. They were the ones who started it. They were always causing trouble around here. Then they left with a bunch of crates and bags. I knew they were up to no good. And they got what they deserved. The Vixens followed them and caught them in the Boneyard. I heard it all from here. It sounded like a slaughter.” – Skaggs, bartender.

The only regret for the Vixens was that they couldn’t loot all of the Saints’ gear and equipment. The Vixens, however, claimed a decisive victory and vowed to continue their dominance over the Sump Saints and all other rivals in the Underhive.

“I was working on my still when I saw them running towards me. They were Vixens, all right. They had their colours and their swagger. They asked me to hide their stuff for them. They said they had just wiped out some Cawdor fanatics. I agreed, for a price. They paid me well, and they came back for their stuff later. They looked like they had a good time.” – Nixx, chem dealer.

This reporter can only wonder what will happen next in this conflict between two of the most notorious gangs in the Drake Cluster. Will Mad Mave consolidate her power and expand her territory? Will Prestwold and his followers learn their lesson and stay away from the Vixens? And what role will the Delaque play in this web of intrigue and violence?
