Hacked Log Reveals Enforcer Secrets

22/08/44,265 ·

A hacked log from Captain Danville’s terminal has been leaked to The Drake Chronicle Underhive Hackers Collective (UHC), revealing a shocking events at the Palantine Enforcers Precinct, which they have been hiding from the public. The log, dated the first day of Captain Danville’s appointment, details a break-in of the precinct archives by an Escher gang, who stole a case of files containing sensitive information.

The log, which is reproduced below, shows that Danville is not yet aware of the contents of the files and was worried about the consequences if they were exposed. He also suggested that the files should be destroyed and the witnesses eliminated.

Daily Report

Captain Danville

One day, I cant make it one day in to my new position here I can see why you called me in. While I’m meeting the team at the Drake Sector precinct, one of the rookies, Chen, I think flagged a access tunnel on the monitors as being in use when it has been locked down for weeks and went to investigate on their own, bloody rookies. I sent my assistant Angell and some patrolman I don’t yet know the name of to aid, when I didn’t hear from them I sent in sergeant Voight and officers Reagan and Burgess, they reported that the first three had been jumped and one of the precinct archives had been breached.

Once the three had been assessed and woken, the debreff was short. It would seem that a strike team from house Esher had broken in and taken a case of files. We still need to find out what’s missing but this was planed, they had help from a wildrunner we had in the cells for drunk and disorderly behaviour, posibly a plant.

Thankfully there was no lasting injuries but Angell and Chen will need some time to recover, though it could have been worse.

Addendum – why was that stored in a low security vault, anyone could find it and someone did. Emperor forgive us i hope this never gets out it will cause mayhem…we need to get rid of all knowledge and witnesses fainting ignorance when it does get loose might get us past it.

The Drake Chronicle has tried to contact Danville and other senior personnel within the sector’s Palantine Enforcers for comments, but they have refused to speak about the claims. Some junior personnel have denied the authenticity of the log and accused The Drake Chronicle of fabricating evidence.

However, The Drake Chronicle has verified the log with multiple sources within the Underhive Hackers Collective (UHC), who have confirmed that it is genuine and that it was obtained from Danville’s terminal by a hacker known as “Smoke”.

The Drake Chronicle has also learned that the files stolen by the Escher gang contain information about a secret project that the Palantine Enforcers have been working on for years. The project involves experimenting on human subjects with various drugs and implants, in order to create enhanced soldiers for the hive authorities. The project has resulted in many deaths and deformities among the subjects, who were mostly taken from the Underhive without their consent.

Although she enjoys her anonymity and secrecy, she also wanted to reach a wider audience and expose more secrets. She heard about The Drake Chronicle, a new and independent newspaper that aimed to be the voice of the Underhive. She was intrigued by their mission and vision and decided to join them as a junior reporter. She kept her identity hidden from her new colleagues, but she was also fascinated and impressed by them. She hoped to use The Drake Chronicle as a platform for her hacking activities, and to reveal more truths to the Underhive.
