Rumours had hit the street that the Drake’s Watch Enforcers had taken a sound beating and another well-staged attack could potentially wipe them off the map and leave the sector open for lawless gangs such as The Replicants to operate their rackets without caution. This week an attempt was made to do just that, but the forces of law had other ideas…
Having recruited 4 Hive Scum and retained the services of Nexus-1, their fearsome bounty hunter, The Replicants set up to surround the Watch and overwhelm them (12 to 7) with sheer number of shots. The plan started well when a scummer by the name of Oscar decided to try his luck on the right flank, and Nexus-1 kept up his record of an early take-down.
Leon, a green Juve, decided to rush the centre, but he was over-confident and received a bolter blast in the face for his trouble. He was amazingly up and about after the battle – his horrific scarring making him a fearsome prospect for anyone to engage in future.

Fire was being exchanged all over the battle space – specialist Hannibal seriously injured Harper on the left, but Carter appeared from behind a hab unit he’d been sneaking round and retaliated, sending him to convalescence.

Rachael, another Juve, enraged by Leon’s horrific injuries, surfed her adrenaline high and took a pot shot revenge shot on Rondo, seriously injuring him. Palatine comms were alive with the news of the 2 losses and just as their leader and a hive scum sidekick were about to rush around the left flank to take out Roy and Zhora at point blank range in the relative safety of their hiding place, the leader bottled it and they both ran for the hills. With Replicants advancing across the line, morale was in short supply and the Enforcers lost 3 to their failure of nerve, on top of their serious injuries and takedown.

As they were leaving anyway, they obviously figured now was the time to bring in their informant, a hive scum who had impersonated Technetium within the Van Saar ranks! He was fast, and being in fear of the long range of Nexus-1’s bolter, faster still! Fortunately he had already deployed himself forward and had a short distance to cover, with plenty of cover available. A couple of Van Saar hive scum climbed a ladder and started lobbing frag grenades off the platform, but their unpractised aim hit nothing but the graffiti-plastered pipes giving cover to the remaining law enforcers. However their distracting explosions gave Astatine, another scummer, the shot he’d been searching for on Nolan as he cowered behind his pipe cover, seriously injuring another cop.

Eldon, a Van Saar champion and Pris, the other juve, had been steadily advancing under cover up the centre, and finally shots presented themselves. Eldon, having only las pistols, finally found his range and let them both rip into Harper, knocking him out cold, but otherwise unscathed. Having nothing left to aim for but a seriously injured Enforcer, Pris used the prone body as target practise and doubled his injury woes. All good practise for the young’uns!
Making it to a convenient exit, the informant handed over intel on the Van Saar’s racketing plans, netting the Watch a massive monetary bonus in their inter-departmental organised crime comp. With all courage now departed stage left, and a big pay day in hand, the Enforcers called it an acceptable day at the office and scarpered.
