The Arachnateks had received an order, framed as a polite request, their patron wished to make an example of a rivals gang, a show of force to cause those aligned against him to think twice.
An location had been chose, a little used part of the underhive in neutral territory was to be used as the arena for this game. The ‘teks were under strict instruction – win, but don’t humiliate the other gang, their patron was looking to make an alliance with their rival.
What followed was a dirty and protracted stalemate, the Arachnateks took advantage of positioning and superior firepower to hold their opponents at bay, knowing that if they let them get too close the battle would degenerate into a messy brawl they may not win. Las fire and stubber bolts were exchanged across gantries and through corridors. Well timed sniper fire stymied enemy charges whilst enemy gangers with jetpacks swooped through the area forcing those seeking more advantageous positions to retreat.
Finally, the ‘teks decided to end the battle in the most diplomatic way possible, blasting one of the hive scum hanger-ons that the Disciples had brought with them. A victory, but not one which would overly wound the pride of the Disciples.
With that both gangs retreated from the area, the entertainment over.
