Betrayal and Bloodshed: How The Drakes Watch Cracked Down on The Lost Daughters

14/02/44,265 ·

The Drake Sector of the underhive was rocked by a fierce firefight yesterday, as a unit of Palantine Enforcers led by Captain Danville raided a gang of Escher girls known as The Lost Daughters. The enforcers claimed to have recovered several stolen loot crates that the gang was transporting to a mysterious buyer. However, the raid was not without casualties, as both sides suffered losses in the brutal clash.

According to eyewitnesses, the raid began when the enforcers ambushed the gang’s convoy near the old scrapyard. The enforcers had deployed a massive automata bot to block the main street, while snipers and patrolmen took positions on the rooftops and alleys. The gang members, who were armed with plasma guns, grenades, and flamers, tried to fight their way through, but were met with a hail of bullets and explosives.

The gang managed to inflict some damage on the enforcers, taking out one of their prized Cyber-Mastiff, S.A.M, unit and disabling the automata bot with a well-placed plasma shot. However, they were soon overwhelmed by the superior numbers and firepower of the enforcers, who had a secret advantage: a traitor in the gang’s ranks.

A traitor, who had infiltrated the gang a few weeks ago, had tipped off the enforcers about the gang’s route and cargo. She also turned on her former comrades during the raid, opening fire on them and helping the enforcers secure the loot crates. The crates contained various items of value, such as weapons, drugs, and tech, that the gang had stolen from other factions in the underhive.

The surviving gang members, realizing they had been betrayed, tried to escape into the dark and twisted tunnels of the underhive, but some of them were killed by the enforcers. The traitor, whose identity has not been revealed, was rewarded by the enforcers with a share of the loot and a safe passage out of the sector.

Captain Danville, the leader of the enforcer unit known as The Drakes Watch, hailed the raid as a success and a warning to other criminals in the underhive. “We have shown once again that no one is above the law in the Drake Sector,” he said. “We will not tolerate any theft, violence, or corruption in our territory. Anyone who dares to challenge us will face the full wrath of The Drakes Watch.”

The Lost Daughters, on the other hand, have suffered a major blow to their reputation and resources. The gang, which was formed by a group of runaway and orphaned girls, had risen to prominence in the underhive by raiding and looting other factions. They were known for their fierce loyalty, their colorful hairstyles, and their use of exotic and deadly weapons. However, their recent defeat has exposed their vulnerability and surely result in a lack of trust within their ranks.

It remains to be seen how the gang will recover from this setback, and whether they will seek revenge on the traitor and the enforcers. The underhive is a harsh and unforgiving place, where only the strongest and the smartest survive. The Lost Daughters will have to prove themselves again, or risk being forgotten in the shadows of the Drake Sector.
