The new team works well together some of the old in my sergeants: booth and Voight as well as a few better performing patrol members of that old ragtag outfit. Beckett, Carter (no relation... I think) and Harper all seem to be good additions.
In what was our first mission in to the Drake sector went exceedingly well all thought the informant fell through on us we managed to salvage some loot and even when the Goliaths turned up, the team held their ground as expected and much to my delight it all played out like a recent training sim, Booth suppressing while Hudson moving up was a work of art and when a lucky shot took out .... Git (where do these names come from) we knew it was the beginning of the end for the brutes.
With four enemy casualties and nothing but what Voight's telling me was a sprain, but I know he go bitten finishing off the would-be attacker that thought could take me...... In his stim addled dreams but either way the Grinch won’t see Sangwnella this year after that trip from the walkway he really should have minded his footing.
We need to put in for more gear asap and sort out the weapon jams, they might become an issue if they continue, as well as a training session for Hudson, though I commend his bravery in standing up to a Goliath that was a full head taller and armed to the teeth. Handcuffs in hand and managing to shackle him but the beating while he was in custody is not the way I want to be seen doing things, hopefully Grunt will keep his mouth shut about it (again with the G names must be a reason for it all).
Lastly the local scummers Rondo and Oscar both did well I think we should add to this volunteer scheme, both provided valuable aid covering our flanks today, I’m sure I saw one of them beat down a Goliath twice his size.
