The Iron Vein, a Mine Workings territory in the Drake Cluster, was the scene of a fierce battle between the 451 Ore Chasers and the Palantine Enforcers unit We Are…The Law. The skirmish, which took place on late in the evening, resulted in heavy casualties for the enforcers, who were reportedly outnumbered and outgunned by the gangers.
According to eyewitnesses, the enforcers launched a surprise raid on the 451 Ore Chasers’ base, hoping to seize their Mine Workings territory and arrest their leader, Brasher Bull Fist. However, the gangers were prepared for the attack and fought back with ferocity. The enforcers were forced to retreat after losing several of their members, including their unit leader, Rizzoli.
The Drake Chronicle has learned that Rizzoli’s body was not recovered by her fellow enforcers after the raid. Sources within the force have confirmed that she is presumed dead, but senior figures are keeping very quiet and currently refusing to acknowledge any skirmish took place. The official statement from the Palantine Enforcers headquarters is that Rizzoli is “on leave” and that We Are…The Law is “under investigation”.
Meanwhile, the 451 Ore Chasers have also claimed the sector’s Promethan cache. The gang appears to have taken the storage facility without struggle, with previously patrolling palantine enforecers vacating their posts earlier in the day.
